New Year, New Joint Friendly Goals

A whole new year awaits, and with it are new goals to make. You don’t need to make big resolutions to meet or have lofty ideas about your health routine. Starting slow and staying consistent are the most important things to remember. After all, these are your goals, not anyone else's.

Start planning the wellness goals you’d like to meet now—from walking more, simple weight training, or playing a quick game of pickleball. As long as you’re active, you’re on the path to meeting your goals.

And don’t forget to supplement your daily joint health routine with Osteo Bi-Flex® to help nourish and strengthen your joints.*

Get Moving… Gently

Most fitness resolutions are all about getting toned beyond belief. But we’re here to say, let’s think beyond six-pack abs and bulging biceps. Easing into a new routine can be simple, fun, and gentle on your body when done right. Take a look at some joint-friendly movements for a gentler approach to working out:

It's time to move it: Whether it’s walking around the park to feed the ducks, a quick dip in the pool, or cycling on a crisp Saturday morning, just remember to move. No matter the pace, keep your joints going with low-impact activities like pickleball, rowing, or elliptical machines. The results will speak for themselves.

Let’s get pumped: You don’t need to try some trendy workout or be Mr. Olympia to get good strength training. Simple compound movements like deadlifts, squats, or planks are great at contributing to overall strength. And if you’re not trying to overexert yourself you can use light dumbbells, kettlebells, or resistance bands to keep your muscles and joints strong.

Don’t forget to stretch: Whether it’s just a ten-minute session before a workout or doing your best crane pose with some yoga after work, stretching is essential to keep your joints working at their best—and a few yoga sessions a month will strengthen your mind and body. We call that a win-win (or should we say win-zen).
